A configurable cookie notice plugin for a resort website
Tetherow is a resort in Bend, Oregon, with an award-winning golf course, a boutique hotel, restaurants and vacation rentals. We built a custom WordPress plugin for its cookie notice.

The problem
The marketing team needed a cookie notice it could control on its own: the wording, the buttons, the privacy link and where the notice appears.
Visitors who decline also had to be handled in a defined way.
What we built
We built a plugin with an admin page for the notice text, the accept and decline buttons, the privacy link, the redirect for visitors who decline and a switch between the top and the bottom of the page.
The notice appears once per visit, remembers an accepted choice for a set period and fits every screen. We developed it on a staging copy with its own GitHub repository, tested both positions on multiple devices and trained the team.
The result
The team changes the cookie notice from the WordPress admin, without a developer.
